Today is my mother's 86th birthday. Mike, Leah, Caleb, David, Alicia, Jim and I went to celebrate with a strawberry jello poke cake. It was good. We spent the afternoon just hanging out together. David spent the afternoon updating the digital photo frame we gave them for Christmas last year (2009) with new pictures of the family. Happy Birthday Mom!

It's been awhile since I've gotten around to posting anything. January has been a busy month but not a blog interesting inspiring month. Leah was sick this week so I kept Caleb a couple of nights to help out. He also helped me with the laundry.

This is one of my favorite pics from Christmas time; Caleb in his Santa outfit playing with my navtivity. It reminds me of the statue you sometimes see of Santa kneeling by the manger scene.

Christmas and New Years

For Christmas the kids gave us pictures of the grandkids. The weekend we went to Minnesota in early December they all met at the Botanical Center and had lots of pictures taken. This is just one of the many that were taken. Considering the number of kids and the age range the photographer had to deal with the pictures turned out excellent!

We had everyone at our place on New Year's Day for Christmas. After having a small party with 8 other adults at our house on New Year's Eve and staying up til 12:30 the night before we had all the families over for Christmas on New Year's Day and then staying up again until 1:00 on New Year's Day night playing cards, I'm not ready to go back to work on Monday.
