The first day of spring brought us outdoors on a trip to Winterset, Iowa. We went to a county park and experienced the tapping of maple trees for making syrup. With up to 6 inches of fresh snow on the ground it actually made for a very pretty sight. Unfortunately no pancakes were served afterwards. Just ice cream cones with maple syrup drizzled on top. On the way home we stopped by the Cedar covered Bridge. Happy Spring everyone.
