New Year's Eve brought an impromptu progressive dinner to our house. We started out the evening at Dan and Brenda Downey's with appetizers provided by them and Steve and Lori Cummings at 6:30. At 8:00 we moved to our house to eat the Mexican meal that Glen and Tonia Gillespie and Paul and Sue Ponder prepared. At 10:00 we moved to Chad and Stacy Alleger's to eat dessert and play Catch Phrase until the stroke of midnight. Surprisingly I wasn't too tired this year. However, Jim was the one who got up and went to early church while I lounged at home watching a Christmas movie I had tivoed but never watched. Now it's my turn to get ready for late church service. Many of the leftovers from last night's supper are still at our house. I'm thinking we'll be seeing the Ponders for lunch today and sad to say, I ate so much last night, I'm not hungry. I hope 2012 doesn't bring a drought as this weather is unbelievable. I have to go back to work on Tuesday. Today will consist of taking down the Christmas tree.
