Another weekend about over. May have to sleep downstairs tonight as we don't have the window ac units in the upstairs bedrooms yet and this humidity makes for less than comfortable sleeping!!
Saturday was a great day for garage saling (that doesn't look right). Anyway, I love to go to garage sales. I must admit, they are more fun if you have young children as they are a great way to find clothes and toys, but I can always find something I probably really don't need. Someone else's trash becomes your treasure. Let's see, what did I buy.......a chopper for the camper, a vase (with a smaller mouth than all of my other vases), a wagon for Caleb several $1 toys....but my best treasure was a $10 office chair. I love this chair...it rocks, I love to sit in my chair and rock and I bought it to take to my classroom in the fall. Now I just have to find a storage spot for it until then. Leah and I had to call my dad three times to bring his pickup for stuff, 1) my chair, 2) the wagon, 3) a desk for Leah and when she found an office chair for herself, I had to leave her behind and drive her car back to our house to get our pickup. While I feel my $10 chair was a great buy, she may have gotten the best buy....a Magic Bullet for $5 and it's nicer than my Magic Bullet. I haven't asked her if it works. Next garage sale will by the Copper Creek one in June. I love that one.
Sunday was confirmation and high school graduation recognition at church. We were invited to a dinner afterwards. Great food, hamburgers, the usual fixings/trimmings and a wide variety of salads. Why is it you think you haven't taken that much to eat and afterwards you feel explodingly full? That led to an afternoon nap on the couch followed by a trip to the greenhouse, Target and Lowes.
Jim filled the bird feeders tonight and we saw an Indigo Bunting. Those have to be my second favorite bird after the Cardinal. We have a lot of gold finches. Now if we can just attract an Oriole.
The weather seems dreadful this week but looks better for next weekend. Planning on my first trip to the farmer's market downtown next weekend. This is one of the three holiday weekends we don't try to go camping. We just stay out of everyone else's way.
I'll try to get my camera out next weekend for some pictures for your viewing pleasure.
